Exams to Take Place from May 15 to 24, 2024, Featuring 63 Test Papers in both Computer-Based and Pen-and-Paper Formats (OMR)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate CUET UG 2024, providing details on the exam schedule and test duration. According to the datesheet released on Saturday, the CUET UG exams will be held from May 15 to 24, 2024.
The exams will be conducted in hybrid mode, incorporating both Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and Pen & Paper formats, and will accommodate around 13.48 lakh candidates across various examination centers. These centers are located in 380 cities across India, with 26 of them situated in cities outside India. In this iteration of CUET UG, a total of 63 test papers are being offered to the candidates. The test duration is generally 45 minutes; however, for subjects like Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, and General Test, the duration extends to 60 minutes.
Candidates are encouraged to review the datesheet on the official website and prepare accordingly. The NTA advises all candidates to stay updated with the latest announcements and instructions to ensure a smooth examination process.
Subjects for which exams will be held in pen and paper mode
Chemistry, Biology and English and General test will be conducted on May 15 from 10 to 11 am, 12:15 to 1 pm, 3 to 3:45 pm and 5 to 6 pm respectively.
Economics, Hindi, Physics and Mathematics will be conducted on May 16 from 10 to 11 am, 12:15 to 1 pm, 3 to 4 pm, 5:15 to 6:15 pm respectively.
Geography, Physical Education, Business Studies and Accountancy from 10 to 10:45 am, 12 to 12:45 pm, 3 to 3:45 pm and 6 to 7 pm respectively.
The last offline exam will be held on May 18 for History, Political Science and Sociology, that will be conducted from 1:30 to 2:15 pm, 3:30 to 4:15 pm and 5:30 to 6:15 pm respectively.
Subjects for which exams will be held in CBT mode
First CBT mode exam will be conducted on may 21 in three shifts — 9 to 11:15 am, 1:15 to 2:45 pm, and 4:45 to 6:15 pm: Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Arabic, Chinese, French, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Nepali, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Tibetan, Agriculture, Fine Arts, Sanskrit, Psychology, Fashion Studies.
Second CBT mode exam will be conducted on May 22 in three shifts — 9 to 10 am, 12 to 2:15 pm, and 4:15 to 5:45 pm: Computer Sciences / Informatics Practices, Sanskrit, Entrepreneurship, Home Science, Teaching Aptitude, Anthropology, Legal Studies.
Third CBT mode exam will be conducted on May 24 in three shifts — 9 to 11:15 am, 1:15 to 2:45 pm, and 4:45 to 6:15 pm: Assamese, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Bodo, German, Manipuri, KTPI, Mass Media, Dogri, Persian, Spanish, Environmental Studies, Performing Arts, Bengali, Marathi, Italian, Japanese, Engineering Graphics, Tourism.
